New Year's Announcements

My preliminary schedule of events for 2024 is now available; you can find the details on the Courses page of this website. I’ll be adding to this throughout the year, so be sure to follow me here at PEI Untamed or on Facebook so you don't miss a thing.

The highlight of this year’s natural calendar is the solar eclipse on April 8, with PEI in the path of totality. If you haven’t gotten your ISO-certified viewing glasses yet, take this as your reminder to do so! It will be 2079 before a total solar eclipse comes our way again, and you’ll have to head to the mainland to see that show.

It can’t compete with an eclipse, but I do have a few exciting announcements coming in 2024. First up is this: I’m taking a four-month leave of absence from Government to focus on my research, writing, and educational work. I’ll have more time for talks and walks, so if you want to book an event between May and August, hit me up!

I’m also adding some new free events to my calendar. In addition to the walks I do for a few environmental groups each year, I’ll be offering sessions on Urban Foraging in Charlottetown and Summerside.  My hope is that this will help remove barriers for those who are interested but haven’t been able to manage the registration or travel.  

I have a few other irons in the fire that I’ll share as they take shape. In the meantime, let’s all make a resolution to learn, explore, and reconnect with PEI untamed!
