About the event
One of the best things about winter is it gives us a chance to learn more about our neighbours of other species! This two-hour snowshoe hike passes through fields and forests where coyotes, foxes, hares, squirrels, voles, ravens and raptors are all active. While I can't guarantee tracks and scat from every animal, I hike this trail regularly and usually see a good selection. We'll also look at some of the adaptations PEI's plants and animals use to get through winter, from life under the snow to the advantages and disadvantages of keeping your leaves year round. This event does require snow, and so is weather-dependent. This event is sold out, but you can still register to be on the waiting list via email to kate.macquarrie22@gmail.com
